A Workspace is simply a local folder on your computer that you dedicate to Trio Mate.
Why use workspaces?
- Clear boundaries: The assistant can only read and modify files inside the folder you pick, keeping the rest of your computer safe.
- Built-in context: Every new chat started inside that workspace automatically knows about its files without needing re-uploads.
- Clean output: Generated reports, clean tables, and charts stay organized inside that project folder.
How to use them
- Add a workspace: Open the workspace list on the left, click Add, and pick any folder on your machine (e.g.
2026-Marketing-Campaign). - Start a chat in a workspace: Click the workspace and select "Start new conversation in this workspace" to mount its files immediately.
- Default folder: You can customize where new casual tasks save files under "Settings → General".
