Because Trio Mate interacts with local files and runs commands, the Security Center ("Settings → Security Center") safeguards your local environment.
1 · Action confirmation modes
Pick your preferred protection level:
- Ask when needed (Recommended): Whenever the assistant needs to write files, run terminal commands, or make web requests, a dialog asks for your approval.
- Auto within sandbox: Low-risk operations run automatically within a restricted sandbox, avoiding repetitive popups during bulk tasks.
Safeguard: High-risk actions like bulk file deletions require a double confirmation with a short safety countdown.
2 · Sandbox isolation
- Strict workspace scope: The assistant only modifies files within your active workspace folder.
- System files protected: Critical system folders and sensitive user credentials (like SSH keys and browser profiles) are strictly blocked from write access.
3 · Local audit log
Everything the assistant does on your computer — files touched, terminal scripts run, and domains contacted — is recorded with timestamps for full peace of mind.
