Get up and running in just a couple of minutes: install the app, sign in, and learn the basic layout.
Step 1: Install the desktop app

Tip for Mac users: If macOS shows an unidentified developer prompt on first launch, open "System Settings → Privacy & Security" and click "Open Anyway".
Step 2: Sign in & choose your team
- Launch Trio Mate and click Sign In.
- Your browser will open to complete authentication, then smoothly redirect back to the desktop app.
- Personal vs Team: Click your profile name in the lower-left corner to switch between your personal space and your organization. Personal chats and team data remain strictly separate.
Step 3: Getting around the interface
The main window is organized into four intuitive areas:
- Left Navigation Bar:
- Chat: Where you assign everyday tasks and converse with the assistant.
- Apps: Discover and install specialized Agents (like Marketing or HR specialists) and Skills.
- Scheduled Tasks: Set up and inspect recurring automated workflows.
- Settings (Gear Icon): Fine-tune accounts, security rules, appearance, and AI models.
- Chat History Sidebar: Lists recent conversations with quick workspace filtering at the top.
- Main Chat Window: Chat with the assistant, see its step-by-step thinking, and approve file actions.
- Artifacts Panel (Right): Long-form reports, code files, and formatted tables appear here side-by-side with your chat.
