A Workspace is a local folder on your computer dedicated to Trio Mate.
Why use workspaces?
- Clear boundaries: The assistant can only read and modify files inside the folder you pick — the rest of your computer stays untouched.
- Built-in context: New chats started inside a workspace automatically know its files, no re-uploads needed.
- Clean output: Generated reports, tables, and charts stay organized in that project folder.
How to use them
- Add a workspace: Open the workspace list on the left, click Add, and pick any folder (e.g.
2026-Marketing-Campaign). - Start a chat in a workspace: Click the workspace and select "Start new conversation in this workspace" to mount its files.
- Default folder: Set where new casual tasks save files under "Settings → General".
