Trio Mate works with local files and runs commands, so the Security Center ("Settings → Security Center") protects your machine.
1 · Action confirmation modes
Pick your protection level:
- Ask when needed (Recommended): A dialog asks for approval whenever the assistant writes files, runs terminal commands, or makes web requests.
- Auto within sandbox: Low-risk operations run automatically inside a restricted sandbox, avoiding repetitive popups during bulk tasks.
Safeguard: High-risk actions like bulk file deletions need double confirmation with a short safety countdown.
2 · Sandbox isolation
- Strict workspace scope: The assistant only modifies files inside your active workspace folder.
- System files protected: Critical system folders and sensitive credentials (SSH keys, browser profiles) are blocked from write access.
3 · Local audit log
Everything the assistant does on your computer — files touched, scripts run, domains contacted — is recorded with timestamps.
